Join us for a very special celebration of World Opera Day with ‘Sing William Tell’ presented by Irish National Opera and the Office of Public Works, in association with Sing Ireland.
We have invited over 100 singing enthusiasts along with the INO orchestra, to join us for a live-streamed performance of two choral movements from our upcoming production of Rossini's William Tell. The event is led by INO artistic director Fergus Sheil and takes place in Dublin Castle on World Opera Day, 25th October. The live-stream begins at 9pm (GMT +1)
Taking place over two evenings, it involves an opera chorus singing workshop on the evening of 24th October and culminates in a live-streamed performance from Dublin Castle on World Opera Day, 25th October at 9pm (GMT).
Led by our Artistic Director Fergus Sheil, participants will learn a rarely heard vocal version of the famous William Tell overture. This is a wonderful opportunity for singers and choirs to experience what it’s like to sing in an opera chorus. Sung in Italian and French.
