INO Schools Programme
At Irish National Opera, we are committed to creating meaningful opportunities for students of all ages to discover and engage with opera, working in partnership with schools to make this rich and exciting art form accessible to every young person.
Bring Your School Group to Irish National Opera
We welcome secondary school groups to join us for a memorable night at the opera throughout the season, all at a special schools rate. Opera is a rich and cross-curricular art form that seamlessly weaves together music, theatre, visual arts, movement, history, politics, literature, and more to tell a captivating story. It's a fantastic opportunity for students to explore multiple dimensions of the arts in one incredible performance.
Enhancing the Educational Experience
To make your school outing even more enriching, we offer accompanying workshops and resource packs designed to complement your visit. These resources ensure that students not only enjoy the opera but also gain a deeper understanding of its artistic and educational value. Join us for an operatic journey that ignites creativity, sparks curiosity, and leaves a lasting impression on young minds. Explore the world of opera with Irish National Opera and inspire a love for the arts!

Opera Workshops for Primary Schools
At INO, we believe that opera is for everyone — including our youngest audiences. Our primary school workshops offer children a fun and engaging introduction to the world of opera, giving them the opportunity to explore operatic stories, music, characters and performance in an accessible and inspiring way.
Inspiring Creativity Through Opera
Our workshops are designed to be interactive and hands-on, encouraging children to explore opera through singing, movement, drama, storytelling and creative play. Pupils discover how a singer uses their voice to become a character, experiment with movement and music and work together to tell a story through performance.
Workshops are tailored to offer young audiences a broad introduction to opera. They provide an opportunity for pupils to engage with the artform, helping them to make connections with their own creative experiences.
If you are interested in INO coming to your primary school, please fill out the Expression of Interest form here: https://form.jotform.com/262224006912346
Please note, there may be a small fee to cover basic costs but this can be negotiated with the individual school.
