Donnacha Dennehy & Enda Walsh’s The First Child

Irish National Opera and Landmark Productions are proud to release the final opera in the trilogy by composer Donnacha Dennehy and writer Enda Walsh as a digital release with Signum Records. This new digital album is the fourth release in the partnership between Irish National Opera and Signum Records, including most recently the Grammy nominated Trade / Mary Motorhead. Preview tracks will be released on the 16 December, 13 & 27 January 2026 with the full album available from 13 February 2026.

Emma O'Halloran's & Mark O'Halloran's Trade / Mary Motorhead

Irish composer Emma O’Halloran has turned two of her uncle Mark O’Halloran’s plays into a critically acclaimed double bill. This new album, nominated in the Best Opera Recording category of the 2026 Grammy Awards, is available for download and purchase via Signum Records. Featuring Naomi Louisa O’Connell as Mary Motorhead, John Molloy as the Older Man and Oisín Ó Dálaigh as the Younger Man in Trade, as well as the Irish National Opera Orchestra conducted by Elaine Kelly.

The surreal world of Lewis Carroll’s Alice, both in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, is given an extra twist in Gerald Barry’s operatic treatment. Available for download and purchase via Signum Records. Featuring Claudia Boyle as Alice and the Irish Chamber Orchestra conducted by André de Ridder.
