Irish National Opera are delighted to offer subsidised tickets to school groups for our upcoming matinee performance of The Magic Flute.
At just €10 per ticket, schools will have the chance to introduce students to this amazing art form in a world-class environment during our matinee performance at 2.30pm on Thursday, the 23rd May.
The Magic Flute is the ideal first opera for young audiences, full of inspired music and larger than life characters, including the hero prince Tamino who spends the opera in search of the abducted princess Pamina. There’s also the lovable bird-catcher Papageno, the self-righteous high priest Sarastro and the terrifying Queen of the Night, who sings some of the highest notes humanly possible
As part of the Magic Matinee, schools can expect to see a full performance of Irish National Opera’s new production of The Magic Flute with the opportunity to meet some of the cast and crew at the end of the show.
An engaging morning workshop will also be available to select schools.
If you can't attend this performance but would like to register your school for future opportunities you can join our education and outreach mailing list here.
