An exclusive evening of Baroque melodies in the historic surrounds of Tailors' Hall.

Embark on a magical journey with Irish National Opera, as we present an exclusive evening of baroque melodies at Dublin's historic Tailors' Hall, nestled in the vibrant heart of medieval Dublin. Delight in the vocal brilliance of mezzo-soprano Sharon Carty, whose rich coloratura and unsurpassed artistry promise to spellbind and enthral.

Sharon will be joined by some of the finest early string players in the country as well as distinguished harpsichordist David Adams, as they weave a tapestry of some of the most captivating and technically demanding music from the baroque repertoire. We’ll also be joined by historian and conservationist Peter Pearson, who will give a short overview of the Hall’s rich and varied past.

After the recital, you are invited to join us for an intimate reception where you can mingle with the performers and savour a selection of gourmet delights.

The Tailors' Hall, dating back to 1706, stands as Dublin's oldest preserved guildhall. Its storied walls have seen varied uses: from a courthouse, barracks, and school to a place of worship and even a stand-in for Dublin's City Hall. By the mid-20th century, it fell into disrepair and was brought back to its former glory by the Irish Georgian Society in 1971. After a brief closure in the early 2000s, when it became the headquarters of An Taisce, this architectural marvel has recently been reintroduced to the public, having been lovingly restored by its current guardians.

Reserve your place for an evening of unparalleled musical artistry, historic charm, epicurean delights and captivating ambiance. Tailors’ Hall is an intimate venue and places are extremely limited. We recommend you book early to avoid disappointment.
