Irish National Opera’s Future Leaders Network brings together young professionals across various fields for unique cultural experiences and opportunities to connect. Our network is a vibrant mix of emerging professionals, whether just starting their career or well into their professional journey, ready to connect, innovate and inspire. This summer, the Future Leaders Network is getting ready for lift off!

Four astronauts and an AI software interface cooped up in the cabin of a space-craft for nine months on a mission to Mars. Probably not the image you conjure up when thinking about opera. Irish National Opera continually pushes the boundaries of what opera can be with its upcoming production of MARS. Experimental music and inventive technology are joined together in a show grappling with space colonisation, reactionary futurism, pronatalism, the madness of hustle culture, and the unsettling futures encroaching on our present.

To catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse at what it takes to be a true innovator in your field, join us for an exclusive Backstage Tour of MARS  before our Friday, 8 August performance at Dublin’s iconic Abbey Theatre. Hear the creators behind this exciting production talk about standing out from the crowd, get insights into the production, stage, and set, and see Ireland’s national theatre from the other side of the stage. 

This is a chance to have a unique cultural experience while making valuable professional connections. After the one-hour tour and talk, you will have plenty of time to grab some dinner before coming back for the performance starting at 7:30PM. We highly encourage you to book your ticket for MARS on the same evening to benefit from the full experience and enjoy interval drinks with the rest of the Future Leaders Network.
