Audio guided performances

At our performances, we are committed to ensuring that everyone can enjoy the magic of opera, including our blind and visually impaired patrons. Here's how we provide support:

Audio Description Services

For selected performances, we offer audio described experiences. Upon arrival, patrons can request a handheld device with headphones. A trained Audio Describer will deliver a live, detailed commentary throughout the performance, providing a vivid description of the action happening on stage. This service ensures that our blind and visually impaired guests can fully immerse themselves in the opera.

Touch Tours

In addition to audio descriptions, we strive to offer touch tours before some performances. These tours provide an opportunity for visually impaired audience members to explore the set design, costumes, and props. It allows them to establish a tactile connection with the opera's visual elements, enhancing their understanding and enjoyment of the production.
