Repetiteur Scholarship Newsarticle

Irish National Opera offers a scholarship for one skilled répétiteur student to benefit from the specialist opera and répétiteur expertise of conservatoire staff on the MMus programme in conjunction with the INO Studio.

The scholarship aligns INO Studio’s activities with key components of the MMus programme at TU Dublin. Recipients will gain invaluable experience working on professional opera productions, with these engagements contributing directly to their academic assessments. The INO Studio offers bespoke training, mentorship from renowned Irish and international musicians, masterclasses, and high-level performance opportunities.

Last year's scholarship recipient Adam McDonagh says "I was very grateful for the exciting opportunity to be part of the INO Studio while simultaneously pursuing a MMus programme in répétiteuring at TU Dublin Conservatoire. I really appreciate both the mentoring provided throughout the year as a member of the INO Studio and the invaluable insight and experience I am gaining from INO's full-scale productions."

Adam has since graduated from the INO Studio and is currently a member of the prestigious National Opera Studio in the UK.

Applications are invited from pianists at an early stage of professional development, or from more experienced artists who wish to expand their career in opera. There are no age or geographic restrictions to apply for the INO & TU Dublin Répétiteur Scholarship. INO will cover 100% of the cost of the individual’s tuition fee towards the MMus degree, except for applicants outside of the EU and UK who will be required to pay a top up fee of €5,000.
