INO Receives Fedora Next Stage Grant

Irish National Opera, along with our partners Dumbworld, are delighted to receive an inaugural Next Stage Grant, awarded by Fedora Platform and Opera Europa with the support of Kearney.
The award has been granted to enable us to develop a Street Art Opera App to accompany The Scorched Earth Trilogy, a series of three short street art operas created by Brian Irvine and John McIlduff of Dumbworld and presented in partnership with Irish National Opera.
This will be a transformative digital project that aims to revolutionise the presentation, sustainability and access of opera through the medium of Street Art Operas. These operas are a highly original mix of street art, activism, and opera, creating a new urban accessible experience for all.
We are thrilled to receive this grant which allows us to develop new technologies to facilitate audience interactions with opera, rethinking the art form and presenting work in new and unexpected ways.
