The Bartered Bride, The Cunning Little Vixen

Biography

William was a member of the Irish National Opera Studio in the 2023/24 season and is currently a member of the INO Company Chorus. For Irish National Opera he has appeared as Vašek in Smetana's The Bartered Bride, Dr Blind in Johann Strauss's Die Fledermaus, covering Alfredo in Verdi’s La traviata (and stepping in to debut the role at Cork Opera House), Third Jew in Richard Strauss’s Salome, and Major Domo in Richard Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier. He studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, graduating with an MA in Advanced Opera Performance and BMus (Hons) in Music Performance. William was a member of the Alvarez Emerging Artists’ Programme at Garsington Opera in 2022 and 2025. On top of his solo work, William has sung with choruses in locations around the world, including Puccini’s Tosca with Sir Bryn Terfel at the Abu Dhabi Festival in 2019. William has also performed in the BBC Proms and as a soloist in Proms in the Park. Alongside these, William had the pleasure of performing for President Michael D. Higgins at Áras an Uachtaráin in October 2025. Future engagements include Gastone in Hurn Court Opera's production of Verdi's La traviata.
