Originally from Galway, Niamh is a member of the Irish National Opera Company Chorus. Since completing her MMus at TU Dublin Conservatoire in 2023, Niamh has been a member of the Company Chorus and performed in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, Gounod’s Faust and Rossini’s William Tell, as well as singing the role of Milliner in Richard Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier. As a student she took part in INO’s 2018 Young Ensemble Showcase, singing Mercédès in scenes from Bizet’s Carmen with RTÉ Concert Orchestra. She also performed Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro at TU Dublin Conservatoire, and Zerlina in Opera Britain’s production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni, and has also appeared with the choruses of NI Opera and Blackwater Valley Opera Festival. An enthusiastic recitalist, Niamh has performed at Boyne Arts Festival, Boyle Arts Festival, as soloist at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral and most recently in the Emily Anderson Concert Hall, Galway. In 2024, Niamh was supported by the 2024 Galway Artist Scheme of Galway County Council. At the 2022 Birr Festival of Music, she was awarded Canto Al Serchio Prize, which facilitated studies in Tuscany with Bruno Caproni and Julian Evans.
