Baritone Michael Ferguson’s roles include Papageno in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte , Schaunard in Puccini’s La bohème, Campistrel in Offenbach’s La belle Lurette, and various roles in Alberto Caruso’s Lady Gregory in America. He is currently in his second season with the Irish National Opera Company Chorus, having performed in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman and Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore. In the 2025–26 season, he appears in Dvořák’s Rusalka and Bellini’s Norma. Michael has also sung in the choruses of Grange Park Opera and Wexford Festival Opera, and has appeared alongside the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Originally from Hamilton, Scotland, Michael holds degrees from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Outside of performing, he enjoys exploring London’s canals aboard his narrowboat
