Biography
Madeline is an American mezzo-soprano originally from Waukee, Iowa. She holds a degree in Classical Voice Performance from Drake University, and a Masters in Voice Performance and Advanced Certification in Vocal Pedagogy from New York University. Now based in Dublin, she is in the final stages of completing her Doctorate in Music Performance from the Royal Irish Academy of Music and Trinity College Dublin, where she studies with Dr. Imelda Drumm.
Previously, Madeline was engaged by Irish National Opera as a cover for the role of Angelina in Rossini’s La Cenerentola in 2019, and was featured as a soloist with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra for their Young Artist Showcase. Other highlights include performing for Irish National Opera in the Italian Institute of Culture for a La Cenerentola promotional event, and in a workshop for young singers performing Habanera from Bizet’s Carmen. She has also appeared in many INO productions as a member of the INO Company Chorus, including the most recent productions of Beethoven’s Fidelio, Bizet’s Carmen, Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda, and Puccini’s Tosca, along with other upcoming productions in the 2022/2023 season. As a soloist, she has performed Rutter’s Jubilate Deo and Forrest’s Magnificat with the Mullingar Choral Society.
This season with INO, she will be performing Noble Orphan 2 in Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier, and will be covering the roles of Charlotte in Massenet’s Werther and Dorabella in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte.
