Biography

Leanne Fitzgerald, a native of Co. Kerry, recently graduated with a Masters in Music Performance from the TU Dublin Conservatoire. She is a regular performer with a number of different Irish ensembles including Chamber Choir Ireland, Ardú and the Choir of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin. She has also performed with Resurgam and Sestina. In opera she has regularly featured in the Irish National Opera Chorus, and she covered the role of Rosina in Rossini’s The Barber of Seville for Wide Open Opera. She also featured in the chorus of the award-winning Virtual Opera Project (VOPERA) online production of Ravel’s L'Enfant et les Sortilèges. In 2018 year she was named company artist with Cork Opera House and made her house debut as Pitti-Sing in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado. In 2019 she toured North America as a featured soloist with Columbia Artists’ production of Songs of Ireland.
