Biography

Kevin is an international lighting designer in opera, theatre and dance. This is his first production with Irish National Opera. Opera credits include: Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman (Opera North); Lehár’s The Merry Widow (Royal College of Music); Verdi’s Aida (Opéra Orchestre National Montpellier); Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin (West Australian Opera), Verdi’s La Traviata, Puccini’s La bohème, The Flying Dutchman, Puccini’s Tosca, Sondheim’s Into the Woods, and Richard Strauss’s Salome (Northern Ireland Opera); Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore (Norwegian National Opera & Ballet); Bizet’s Carmen, Rossini’s La Cenerentola, Puccini’s La bohème (Nevill Holt Opera); Britten’s The Turn of The Screw (Kolobov Novaya, Moscow); Verdi’s Macbeth (Welsh National Opera); Johann Strauss II’s Die Fledermaus (Wermland Opera, Sweden); Janáček’s Cunning Little Vixen, Mozart’s The Magic Flute (Royal Academy of Music); Britten’s Albert Herring, Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seraglio (Grange Festival); Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges, Shostakovich’s Orango (Philharmonia Orchestra at Royal Festival Hall); Handel’s Faramondo (Handel Festspiele, Göttingen); and Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld (Scottish Opera).
