Kat Heath is a set and costume designer working across theatre, opera, immersive and screen. This is her first production with Irish National Opera. Kat trained in Design for Performance at Wimbledon School of Art and Central Saint Martins, London. Opera credits include: Britten’s Albert Herring (Scottish Opera); Puccini’s Il tabarro (Copenhagen Opera Festival); Mozart’s Così fan tutte (Silent Opera, Bury Court Opera) and Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo (Silent Opera, Trinity Buoy Wharf). Theatre credits include: Dixon and Daughters (National Theatre); Typical Girls (Sheffield Crucible); The New Electric Ballroom (The Gate Theatre Dublin); Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going To Happen (Bush Theatre and Australian Tour); EXXY (Dan Daw, UK Tour); The Importance of Being Earnest and The Two Worlds of Charlie F. (Theatre Royal Haymarket); Punk Alley (Moxie Brawl & Southbank Centre); Our Man in Havana (Watermill Theatre) and The Ancient Oak of Baldor, The Bar at the Edge of Time, 2065 , Night Out in Nature, The Isle of Brimsker (Frozen Light, UK Touring). Screen and Immersive Designs include: The Third Day: Autumn and Audiences for the Future (for Punchdrunk and HBO/Sky); A Curious Quest, Route 158, and Woolwich Hall of Fame (Punchdrunk Enrichment); The Deal (Dream Awake/Gecko, Ancerville, Shenzhen, China), The Redux Project (Richard Dedomenici at Battersea Arts Centre and for BBC) and The Hollow Hotel (DifferencEngine).
