Doireann O'Carroll

Doireann O’Carroll completed her Master’s in Piano Performance at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in 2022, studying with Thérèse Fahy and Dearbhla Collins. She has since established herself as both a collaborative pianist and répétiteur, appearing in projects and festivals across Ireland and abroad. Doireann has collaborated with artists such as Simon Lepper and Ingrid Surgenor through the Peter Rankin Internship at the Northern Ireland Opera Festival of Voice in 2022 and 2023. She was the répétiteur for Luke Byrne’s Bloody Murder with Opera Workshop Limerick and for the world premiere of Stephen McNeff’s Spirits Unsurrendered under the baton of David Brophy at Kilmainham Gaol. In 2023, she was a répétiteur at the Vienna Opera Academy where she worked on Mozart’s Don Giovanni and performed in two concerts at the Mozarthaus. She won both the Milne Cup and the Contemporary Music Competition at the Feis Ceoil in 2023. Recent highlights include concert performances with Blackwater Valley Opera Festival (2023–24), principal pianist for Jesus Christ Superstar with the Light Opera Society of Tralee, and recitals at the American Irish Historical Society in New York and the French Library in Boston (2025). She was répétiteur for Haydn’s The Creation with Esker Festival Orchestra in August 2025. Since 2024, Doireann has been a répétiteur on the Young Artist Programme at Wexford Festival Opera, working on productions including Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci and Handel’s Deidamia, and performing on the stage of the National Opera House.
