Biography

Colm Tóibín is the author of eleven novels and three collections of stories. His work has been translated into more than thirty languages. He is the Irene and Sidney B. Silverman Professor of Humanities at Columbia University and a contributing editor at the London Review of Books. He wrote the libretti for Alberto Caruso’s operas The Master and Lady Gregory in America, both performed at the Wexford Festival Opera. The Testament of Mary was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play in 2013. In 2021, he was awarded the David Cohen Prize for Literature.
