After graduating from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Carolyn was an OTC young artist, Associate Artist at Welsh National Opera and soloist in Luzern Theater, Switzerland.
In 2023 she performed Marquis of Berkenfield in Donizetti’s La fille du Regiment and Lene in Marco Tutino’s La Ciociara for Wexford International Festival Opera, Cornelia in Handels’ Giulio Cesare, Mary in Wagners’ Der Fliegende Holländer with Sir Bryn Terfel at Grange Park. 2024/25 performances include Madam Larina in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin for Northern Ireland Opera, Siegrune in Wagner’s Die Walküre for LFO, Sorceress in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas with AKAMUS Berlin Opera Collective Ireland and Christian Curnyn, Mistress Quickly in Verdi’s Falstaff for St Endellion Festival, Dvořák’s Stabat Mater with the Ulster Orchestra and Jac van Steen, Erda in Das Rhinegold, two CD recordings of Irish Songs with Roderick Williams, Iain Burnside and Delphian Records.
Other CDs include Calen-o with Delphian, A Song more silent with London Mozart players for Chandos, Ethel Smyths Fête Galante conducted by Odeline de la Martinez and Loders Raymond and Agnes conducted by Richard Bonynge both for Retrospect opera, CD / book Fräulein Bixel and Herr Glück Gossau Zurich.
She has performed with RTVE Madrid, BBCTV & RADIO3, RTE, Operavision, ARTtv & Swiss radio, Royal Opera House Linbury Theatre, Edinburgh Festival, Ludlow Song festival, English National Opera, WNO, INO, NIopera, Luzern Theatre, ETO, Grange Park Opera, South Bank Symphonia in Italy, Opera Holland Park, Stadttheater Bern Switzerland, the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican, Royal Festival Hall, Dorset Opera, Capella Cracoviensis Kracow Poland.
