Biography
Annemarie Woods is co-winner of the Ring Award Graz and European Opera Prize (with director Sam Brown). Her set and costume designs include Britten’s Billy Budd (Norwegian National Opera and Ballet), Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin (Scottish Opera), Mozart’s Don Giovanni (Bergen National Opera, Northern Ireland Opera), Handel’s Radamisto (Northern Ireland Opera), Ravel’s L’heure espagnole and Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi (Opéra national de Lorraine), Britten’s Turn of the Screw (Northern Ireland Opera, Nevill Holt Opera), Handel’s Agrippina (Irish Youth Opera), Donizetti’s La favorite (Oper Graz), Strauss’s Salome (Oper Köln, Northern Ireland Opera), Rossini’s La Cenerentola (Lucerne Theatre), Handel’s The Triumph of Time and Truth with Gerald Barry’s The Triumph of Beauty and Deceit (Handel Festival Karlsruhe), Johann Strauss’s Der Zigeunerbaron (Stadttheater Klagenfurt), Wolfgang Rihm’s Jakob Lenz (English National Opera), Johann Strauss’s Die Fledermaus (Wermland Opera), Janáček’s Katya Kabanová (Landestheater Coburg), Andy Pape’s Sigurd der Drachentöter (Bavarian State Opera), Gerald Barry’s The Importance of Being Earnest (Opéra national de Lorraine), Bellini’s I Capuleti e I Montecchi (Teatro Sociale Como) and Britten’s Albert Herring (Aldeburgh Festival).
