Biography

Mezzo soprano Anne Marie Gibbons studied at the Conservatory of Music and Drama, Dublin, and the RNCM, Manchester. Appearances with the Royal Opera House Covent Garden include Hostess Boris Gudonov, Camila The Exterminating Angel, Begbick Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny and Second Lady The Magic Flute. As Company Principal with English National Opera roles include Dorabella Cosi fan tutte and Anna The Trojans at Carthage, Ascanius The Trojans, Ino Semele, Nero Agrippina, Flora La Traviata, Pitti-Sing The Mikado, Annio La clemenza di Tito, Sister Mathilde The Dialogues of the Carmelites and Kasturbai Satyagraha. Further UK appearances include Pippo La Gazza Ladra with Opera North, Second Lady WNO and title roles in Teseo and Ariodante with both ETO and OTC Ireland.

Elsewhere, international credits include David Saul Versailles Handel Festival, Rosmira Partenope Les Azuriales Festival and Page Salome in Adelaide.
