In autumn 2019 we partnered with UCD to give some of their third year music students a behind the scenes look at what goes into producing an opera. The project also tasked them with writing a critical review of the dress rehearsal and producing posters to introduce the opera to new audiences.

The POpera project, designed by Hilda Milner from the Royal Irish Academy of Music in collaboration with Music Generation Carlow and Irish National Opera, was designed to give students an introduction to opera and empower them to explore their own vocal instruments and compositional creativity.

In April 2019, we collaborated with students from the National College of Art and Design in a new project that saw 2nd year visual communications design students create a series of digital moving posters in response to Mozart’s opera The Magic Flute.
