Online Workshops for Young People Aged 14-18

Wednesday, 10 March, 2021
Ceara Conway Finola Merivale

Following on from our series of writing workshop with Dave Lordan last February, we are happy to announce two more free online workshop series taking place in late March and April, open to young people living in rural Ireland.

UPDATE: Applications for these workshops are now closed.

Over the Easter holidays, Ceara Conway will be running a series of visual arts workshops, and in April, Finola Merivale will lead a series of weekly workshops on composition. Both workshops form part of Irish National Opera’s Out of the Ordinary project and the art created in these workshops will help to inform the creation of a Virtual Reality Community Opera which will be presented in 2022. You can find out more about Out of the Ordinary here.

The workshops are open to anyone aged 14-18 living in Ireland, but places are limited and we will prioritise those living in rural Ireland. Participants are welcome to sign up to either course, but we’d especially encourage sign up to both! No experience is necessary to apply, just an enthusiasm to be creative!

Sessions are free and take place via Zoom. Dates for both series are below and we expect participants to attend all four workshop in a series if they gain a place. To register, please fill in the form here no later than 24th March. We’ll be in touch before the end of March to let you know if you were successful in gaining a place.
