Paula Murrihy Mezzo Masterpieces Streaming Concert Rescheduled

Paula Murrihy's Mezzo Masterpieces streaming concert at Kilkenny Castle, a collaboration with The Office of Public Works rescheduled from this Saturday to Thursday 10 December 2020.

Concerts by Sharon Carty on Saturday 31 October and Tara Erraught on Sunday 15 November proceed as planned.

The first of Irish National Opera's three Mezzo Masterpieces live-streamed concerts featuring Paula Murrihy has been rescheduled from Saturday 24 October to Thursday 10 December. All other details are unaffected — the all-Mozart programme, the venue, Kilkenny Castle, the streaming time of 8pm, the second soloist, baritone Seán Boylan, and the Irish National Opera conducted by Peter Whelan. All ticket holders will be contacted and can choose to avail of tickets to the rescheduled concert or a full refund.

Irish National Opera’s artistic director Fergus Sheil said “We regret that due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to postpone Paula Murrihy’s Mezzo Masterpieces concert this Saturday. However we have managed to re-assemble the full team and look forward to our audience joining us online to enjoy this concert of Mozart favourites live-streamed from the iconic Kilkenny Castle. ”

The second and third concerts in the Mezzo Masterpieces series, featuring Sharon Carty in Castletown House and Tara Erraught in Dublin Castle are unaffected. They will be live-streamed as planned at 8pm on Saturday 31 October and on Sunday 15 November.
