Big Bang

What a difference a year makes.

One year ago today we launched Irish National Opera with a Big Bang at the National Concert Hall, Dublin with some of Ireland’s most exciting operatic talent. That night was the start of a very special year which we couldn’t be more proud of. Huge thanks to all our supporters for continuing to believe in and support Irish opera, we look forward to much more in 2019 and beyond.

Check out the images and videos below for some of our best bits of 2018.

The Marriage of Figaro premiered in Dublin to rave reviews, 'setting high standards for Irish opera' (Dervan, Irish Times) while The Opera Director opened up the world of opera to a whole new audience of young people.

Orfeo ed Euridice wowed audiences at the Galway International Arts Festival last summer. Don’t miss the revival of this stunning production in theatres nationwide this February.

We ended the year in style with our biggest production at the Bord Gáis Energy theatre, Verdi's grand opera Aida.
