Stephanie is a dancer, actor and maker from the West of Ireland currently based in Dublin. In 2012 she graduated from the Rotterdam Dance Academy with a BA in Dance and since then she has worked for companies and choreographers in Ireland and abroad, including Protein Dance, Chrysalis Dance, Icon Dance, Dam Van Huynh, Marguerite Donlon, Liz Roche, Emma Martin/United Fall and Junk Ensemble. In 2017 she graduated from the two-year, full-time programme at Bow Street; the academy for screen acting in Dublin where she worked with directors Shimmy Marcus, Jim Sheridan and Cathy Brady.
She has been featured in music videos for Talos, Crash Ensemble, Galia Arad and Lilla Vargen and she was the face of the Galway Arts Festival in both 2017 and 2018. In December 2017 she played the lead role of Karen in Selina Cartmell’s production of The Red Shoes for the Gate Theatre, Dublin. Her own choreographic work fuses dance, music and theatre and is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland and Dance Ireland. Her latest work, After Love, is an exploration through movement of the poetry of Dani Gill, specifically her first anthology of poems, and it will be in production in 2020.
