Russell Harcourt is gaining increasing international recognition on the operatic stage and concert platform throughout the UK and Australasia for a refined brilliance of vocal colour and the comic charm of his characterisations.

Career highlights include Evanco in Handel’s Rodrigo at the Göttingen Festival, Nerone in Handel’s Agrippina (Brisbane Baroque), Armindo in Handel’s Partenope (Opera Australia under Christian Curnyn), Megabise in Hasse’s Artaserse, Andronicus in Vivaldi’s Bajazet and Corrado in Vivaldi’s Griselda with Sydney's Pinchgut Opera; Sesto in Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto for Bury Court Opera; and Countertenor 1 in John Adams’s The Gospel According to the Other Mary for Theater Bonn directed by Peter Sellars. His concert performances include repertoire from Handel to Schnittke.
